About the Gallery

Located on the Eerste Bloemdwarsstraat 19 in Amsterdam, situated in the stunningly beautiful Jordaan area of Amsterdam, and just around the corner from the famous Westerkerk (frequently mentioned by Anne Frank in her journal), you'll find the art gallery of Dolf D. van Omme. In this pleasant location you can find 19th and 20th century European Fine Art.

The collection includes painters from the Amsterdam impressionists, classical modernists and French Impressionists and Post-Impressionists. Twice yearly, the gallery organizes a sale exhibition in the gallery, in which city views of Amsterdam are a returning theme.

I started collecting art at the age of fifteen. I had a great interest in the artists and their works and became fascinated by the art world. After a period training at a leading auction house in Amsterdam, I began work as an assistant at a prominent gallery.  In 2004, I founded my own gallery in the Jordaan area of Amsterdam.

I am responsible for the collection, expertise, purchasing and sales.

After finishing Language & Culture studies at the University of Utrecht I decided to focus on the fine arts. I moved to Amsterdam and gained experience in the art world. Following this I started a master Art History at the VU University in Amsterdam. I specialized during my study in the art market and in nineteenth century painting. After graduating I started working at Dolf D. van Omme.

I am responsible for preparing art fairs, public relations and sales.
